Marame was born out of years of personal frustration trying to build a wardrobe around core, timeless pieces that actually worked together.
Not just in style, but in fit, colour, quality, and wearability.
I spent years searching for staple items that felt great to wear, looked effortless, and could be styled in multiple ways for different occasions. I wanted flattering shapes, classic cuts, complementary colours, and fabrics that felt soft, substantial, and high quality. Clothes that looked as good the tenth time as they did the first.
What I couldn’t find was one brand I could rely on. One place where every piece felt considered and interchangeable. So, driven by that frustration and a love of a challenge, I pulled together a team who shared the same standards and decided to create it.

We think carefully about fabric, fit, finish, and how each garment feels to wear and live in. From how a fabric drapes and softens over time, to how a seam sits or a neckline falls, nothing is accidental.
We work closely with trusted production partners who share our commitment to quality, ethical manufacturing, and responsible practices. These are not decisions we take lightly, and we would rather take longer or say no than compromise.

Creating Marame has been a two-and-a-half-year journey defined by obsessive detail and determination.
We researched fabrics from mills around the world, compared swatches under different light, tested weights and textures, and rejected anything that didn’t meet our standards. We said no a lot. To materials that looked good but didn’t wear well. To suppliers who couldn’t guarantee quality or ethics. To finishes that didn’t feel quite right.
Patterns were drafted, redrafted, and tested across different body types. Small details were refined again and again. At one point, a single design went through more than 40 iterations. We even laboured over the exact weight of a button.
It was slow, intense, and at times exhausting. But it mattered.
