The Cala Shirt

The Cala Shirt was designed to be one of those effortless pieces that you reach for throughout the warmer months. Relaxed, comfortable and easy to style, it combines the laid-back feel of a holiday shirt with the thoughtful design details that help create shape and balance.

Made from beautifully soft cotton cheesecloth, it feels light and breathable against the skin, making it perfect for warmer days, holidays and everyday wear. The fabric has a natural texture that gives the shirt an effortless quality, allowing it to look polished without ever feeling too structured or formal.

One of my favourite features is the shoulder detail. It's been carefully designed to create subtle width and structure across the shoulder line without the need for shoulder pads. This helps create balanced proportions whilst maintaining the relaxed silhouette that makes the shirt so comfortable to wear.

The sleeves have also been deliberately designed with a little extra length and coverage, ensuring they work beautifully across a variety of arm shapes whilst still feeling easy and effortless.

The cropped length has been carefully considered to pair perfectly with our Cala Cheesecloth Skirt. When worn together, the shirt finishes at what we often refer to as the "sweet spot", allowing the skirt's waistband to remain visible whilst creating a beautifully defined waistline. It's a simple detail that makes a remarkable difference to the overall silhouette.

Crafted from 100% cotton cheesecloth, the Cala Shirt has been designed to offer exceptional softness, breathability and comfort. The natural texture of the fabric is part of its charm, creating an effortless appearance that becomes even softer with wear and washing.

To help preserve the quality of your garment, we recommend washing inside out on a cold, gentle cycle with similar colours. Reshape whilst damp and allow to air dry naturally. Do not tumble dry.

One of the benefits of cheesecloth is its naturally textured finish, meaning ironing is rarely required. If desired, a light steam can be used to refresh the fabric whilst maintaining its relaxed appearance.
