The Cala Skirt

The Cala Skirt is one of those pieces that perfectly captures effortless summer dressing. Lightweight, comfortable and incredibly easy to wear, it has been designed to work beautifully as part of a co-ord with the Cala Shirt whilst remaining versatile enough to style with pieces you already own.

Crafted from the same beautifully soft 100% cotton cheesecloth fabric as the matching shirt, it feels light and breathable against the skin, making it ideal for holidays, warm-weather dressing and everyday wear.

One design detail I was particularly passionate about was the lining. Unlike many cheesecloth skirts that are fully lined, we've deliberately lined this skirt only where coverage is needed. The lining extends just far enough to ensure the skirt isn't see-through across the underwear area, whilst leaving the lower portion unlined so it remains cool, airy and comfortable in hot weather. It was important to me that the skirt retained all of the breathability and movement that makes cheesecloth such a wonderful fabric to wear.

The waistband has also been designed differently to a traditional skirt. Its deeper construction helps create beautiful definition through the waist area, forming the foundation of a balanced silhouette. Combined with the carefully positioned first tier seam, the shape has been engineered to flow gently over the thigh area rather than cling to it, creating a flattering and easy-to-wear silhouette.

Side splits add movement and fluidity to the skirt whilst ensuring the maxi length feels effortless rather than restrictive.

Crafted from 100% cotton cheesecloth, the Cala Skirt has been designed to offer exceptional softness, breathability and comfort. The natural texture of the fabric is part of its charm, creating an effortless appearance that becomes even softer with wear and washing.

To help preserve the quality of your garment, we recommend washing inside out on a cold, gentle cycle with similar colours. Reshape whilst damp and allow to air dry naturally. Do not tumble dry.

One of the benefits of cheesecloth is its naturally textured finish, meaning ironing is rarely required. If desired, a light steam can be used to refresh the fabric whilst maintaining its relaxed appearance.

The Cala Skirt has been designed to sit comfortably at the waist whilst creating a soft, flowing silhouette through the body. The wider waistband helps provide gentle definition through the midsection, whilst the tiered construction allows the fabric to move naturally without adding unnecessary volume.

Crafted from 100% cotton cheesecloth, the fabric is exceptionally soft, lightweight and breathable. The natural texture of the cheesecloth creates a relaxed elegance, whilst the double-layered gauze construction gives the skirt beautiful movement and drape.

One of the things I love most about this fabric is the way it feels in warmer weather. It allows air to circulate freely whilst remaining soft and comfortable against the skin, making it an ideal choice for travel, holidays and everyday summer dressing.

The partial lining ensures coverage where it's needed whilst allowing the remainder of the skirt to retain its light, airy feel and beautiful movement.
