The Varo Knit Funnel Neck

When we were developing the Varo collection, I knew I wanted to create a co-ord that felt polished and put together whilst still being incredibly comfortable to wear. The Varo Knit Funnel Neck Jumper is one of those pieces that manages to do both beautifully.

Although it has been designed to be worn with the matching Varo Knit Trousers, I love how versatile it is as a standalone piece too. It works just as effortlessly with your favourite denim, tailored trousers or even layered over a simple vest as the seasons begin to change.

One of my favourite design details is the elasticated ribbed waistband. Similar to our much-loved Bria Knit, we’ve added a touch of elastic through the hem which allows you to position the jumper exactly where it feels most flattering. The knit then softly blouses over the waistband, creating shape around the waist whilst skimming over the tummy area rather than clinging to it. It’s one of those subtle details that makes such a difference when it comes to creating balanced proportions.

The double-ended zip was another feature I was particularly keen to include. It gives you so many styling options depending on how you like to wear your clothes. Whether you wear it fully open, fully zipped or somewhere in between, you can adjust the opening to create shape exactly where you want it. It’s a simple detail but one that allows you to highlight your favourite features whilst feeling comfortable and confident.

I also love the way the funnel neckline works on different body shapes. Worn open, it naturally creates a little more width through the shoulder line which can help bring balance to the body. Worn closed, it provides additional structure through the upper body and can work particularly well for ladies with a smaller bust by creating the appearance of more shape through the chest area.

As always, every detail has been considered with real women and real bodies in mind. The aim was to create a piece that feels effortless to wear whilst helping you achieve shape, balance and confidence without having to think too hard about it.

Crafted from a soft and durable blend of viscose, polyester and polyamide, the Varo Knit Funnel Neck Jumper has been designed to offer comfort, drape and excellent shape retention. The viscose provides softness and fluidity, whilst the polyester and polyamide help the knit maintain its structure and appearance wear after wear.

To help preserve the quality of your garment, we recommend washing inside out on a cold, gentle cycle with similar colours. Reshape whilst damp and dry flat away from direct heat or sunlight. Do not tumble dry.

Where required, steam gently or iron inside out on a low heat setting.

The Varo Knit Funnel Neck Jumper has a relaxed fit through the body with a softly structured silhouette that feels comfortable without looking oversized. The shape has been designed to sit neatly on the frame whilst allowing the fabric to drape naturally, creating an effortless and polished look.

The fabric itself is what makes this piece feel so special. The high viscose content gives the knit a beautiful fluidity, allowing it to move with the body rather than sitting rigidly against it. It feels exceptionally soft to the touch and has a smooth finish that elevates it beyond a traditional casual knit.

The addition of polyester and polyamide provides durability and resilience, helping the garment maintain its shape and appearance throughout the day. Together, the blend creates a knit that feels lightweight yet substantial, offering comfort, softness and structure in equal measure.
